Welcome to SAZFYD.com\Racing
I love the "Wankel" Engine or Rotary for those of you who can't remember
what they used to call their first rotary motor in the 60's. Now it is referred to
as the Renisis Engine and the RX8 happens to be a dual rotary engine so
hence the name change. Mazda is the only car company in the world that
continues to produce rotary engines for cars and let's hope they never stop.
I am on my second RX8 as unfortunately I totalled my first on which was a
2006 two way paddle shift automatic. When I purchased the new one I opted
for a 2007 manual short throw 6 speed which redlines at 10,000RPM's! I
have put in a K&N Cold Air Intake System, Greddy Strut Tower Bars, front and
rear and I finally purchased racing wheels and tires so I don't waste any
racing rubber on the freeway getting to the tracks. Works out very well.
Remember don't speed on the streets, as it is simply stupid and this type of
driving has one place and one place only; THAT IS A RACE TRACK!
If you have enjoyed what your have seen or even if you have not please take
time and sign my Guest book so I at least know you looked.
Thanks, Randy

February 2010,
A lot has been happening in my life, which has not allowed us to race
the car very much as yet. Still looking for the right person to run the
car in through a full schedule hopefully this summer at Button Willow
Raceway Park. However it has been hard to find someone to do so
and insurance is always a problem as my back and foot along with
some other issues prevent me from even trying to do so.
I recently moved to San Pedro, CA which took up a lot of time, but am
living with a bunch of roommates who help me out with a lot of
things and we share the same interests in racing. Formula One is
the only real racing there is as going around in circles just doesn't
interest us very much anymore. I guess if you attend a NASCAR
Race it's fun, but it is very boring watching cars go around in circles,
so we only watch when they race on road courses.
Anyway, the car is great and comfortable to drive around, but the
gas mileage is horrible with the upgrades that have been done to it.
I have recently added a 1968 Chevy C-20 Long Bed Pick Up Truck to
this site, which I am trying to sell so if you are interested please just
click the link I have added. I have posted some pictures and good
description of it as well. Again, I just can't work on these things
anymore, which is hard to take, but it is what it is as they say.
Hope you enjoy the page, especially how this Rotary Motor works as
it is the only Rotary motor available in the U.S., and the RX8 has two
of them so.....
